I am Wilbert T. Sass, age 69, and I served my military
obligation to my country, The United States of America,
Honorably
, as a young man in the late 1950's and 1960's
under the Selective Service Regulation of that time.

I was formally cited for various accomplishments during six
years serving, and was cited with an Honorable Discharge
when my service obligation to my country had been performed
Honorably.   These documented records here published
 prove these facts

Begin series of documented evidence here click here

Even though I was 4 F under the Selective Service Regulations for the Universal Draft during the late 1950’s because I was married and had one child I still re-enlisted and served honorably, because I believed it was my personal responsibility to serve my country, even if the law said I was not required to perform active service unless there was a universal mobilization in time of war, in which case all able bodied men would be called to serve.

I have all of my service records, and now, March 2, 2010 publish those records, signed by unit commanders, and original unit transfer orders signed by unit commanders, and original Honorable Discharge papers signed by unit commanders that completed my military obligation, using the Internet to fully disclose to Senator Ben Nelson, and His Staff, and to the Veterans Administration, and to Met Life Bank.

Because of Met Life Bank’s wrongful handling of my application for a Home Loan Mortgage Guaranteed by The VA Home Loan Guarantee Program, that I demonstrated in fact, I was qualified as noticed by the VA by issuing a valid VA COE and Met Life’s issuance in writing of a Certificate of Pre Approval, I believe my Credit Record has been damaged, and Met Life is responsible for the damage to my personal credit record.

Met Life Bank has denied my application for a Home Mortgage Loan Application and as I understand will report their denial of my application using the reason, “Failure To Validate My Veterans Administration Certificate Of Eligibility” to refute their allegation, and to publicly disclose using the Internet – of course I can not do any more than to provide to Met Life, the VA COE that the Veterans Administration provided to me in 2004, which I did; so Met Life has falsely stated the facts about my loan application to the Credit Bureau.

The following is a record of the true facts as I attest this record: In 2004 I applied for and received a VA Certificate of Eligibility.

During late January and early February of 2010 I applied to Met Life Bank - Omaha NE for a house mortgage and received a letter of pre-approval.

Based upon that pre-approval, I entered into a purchase agreement for a property at 6012 Ruggles Street in Omaha with an Omaha Real Estate Agent.

A closing date was set for February 19, 20010 to close the transaction.

The VA in St Louis has refused to approve my VA Certificate of Eligibility previously issued to me citing, on the one hand, stating in writing, in the first sentence of the letter written by Tyrell Stokes, Loan Specialist, VA, “a reservist must provide evidence of six years of service” and “the service must be noted as honorable”, and then, going on to state in the same letter, that "service retirement points" must be submitted as a qualification for approval of a VA Home Mortgage Loan Guarantee.

That is false according to the VA’s own published “Instructions To Complete VA Form 26-1880
( I publish the exact wording from that published instruction paper.)

When I began the process of making application for my VA Certificate of Eligibility, I researched very carefully the requirements for VA Certificate Eligibility, using mainly a source material published by the VA named "Instructions For VA Form 26-1880" which is the form to verify all requirements with supporting service record documentation.

The informational document instructions clearly indicated to me, that I qualified based upon the published information available to me, and indeed my VA Certificate of Eligibility was subsequently issued to me, in 2004.

Now, the VA people in St Louis are refusing my service record I provided to them through Met Life Bank as insufficient.

I am appealing to Senator Ben Nelson to remedy my problem with the VA and I respectfully thank The Honorable Senator Ben Nelson in advance
